Do you have a degree in science, mathematics, or computer science? You’re ready to become a teacher.
Teachers prepared by university-based programs like UTeach for Texas are retained longer and their students perform better. You'll learn from the best and gain a lasting and rewarding career.
With UTeach for Texas, you will:
- Be part of a cohort of math and science teachers all working in secondary classrooms and earning teaching credentials.
- Participate in virtual, evening classes taught by university faculty.
- Complete asynchronous coursework in between weekly class meetings.
- Observe other teachers during field-based experiences throughout the year.
- Be supported by an Induction Specialist who visits your classroom weekly.
The UTeach staff was outstanding — the professors in the virtual classes, UTeach administration, field mentors and supervisors — all had a hand in making this an amazing experience.
