Partner with us.

Join the mission to recruit, develop, and retain highly prepared STEM educators and help solve the teacher shortage.

UTeach for Texas partners with local districts to recruit, place, develop, and engage future and current STEM educators. This robust partnership gives your district access to highly prepared and supported STEM teachers.

UTeach continues to innovate! I'm excited to see how this new program will increase access to those interested in entering the profession.

Recruit

UTeach for Texas and school district partners promote the program to local STEM degree holders by participating in online and in-person events and by sharing information with key stakeholders in the local area.

Place

School districts host UTeach for Texas candidates during the field placement component of the program. UTeach for Texas provides personalized support to each preparation program candidate through observations, pre/post conferences, and input from the host teacher. Upon successful completion of the program, candidates are eligible for open STEM teaching positions.

Develop

Each UTeach for Texas teacher receives an Individualized Induction Plan (IIP) that is informed by input from the program and the school district during the preparation program. UTeach for Texas teachers are supported by a dedicated mentor provided by the program during the first three years of their career. Support services incorporate school priorities and feedback from school leaders.

Engage

UTeach for Texas and school districts collaborate to identify and engage STEM teacher leaders who will support current preparation program candidates and who will assist with recruiting potential UTeach for Texas candidates from the school community.

If your school district needs secondary STEM teachers and wants to partner with UTeach for Texas, please email us at uteachfortexas@utexas.edu or call 512-232-0687.
